Is possible to upgrade build in fan to a Noctua one?

My second hand Thunderbolt Display easily getting hot, I can't sure is the fan works or not.(But when the environment is quite, I can heard "bo bo bo" sounds.) Can I replace the fan which has higher RPM with same voltage?

Sorry Apple uses a custom fan unit. It’s likely the fan is either damaged (out of balance) or loaded up with junk.

Given the age I would start off just cleaning out the dust and debris that’s collected inside. I’ve found stapes and small scraps o paper mess up the fans in system

I find a small soft paint brush and a can of can’d air will do the job!

Here’s one source for the needed fan 27" Thunderbolt Display Fan - Apple P/N 922-9936
