MacBook keyboard repair after a liquid spill?
Ok, so I had a liquid spill and luckily worked fast enough that the only damage is a couple of keys misbehaving. This is the first computer I've had with the keys enclosed by the shell itself. First, how do I get the keys off? Second, will I expect this to be as easy as cleaning up with a little alcohol with the power off?

This is the most protected mac I've ever seen against spillage. According to the liquid you may be able to clean it right up. I've changed out the keyboard and it was simple and fast. What did you spill and how much? For the keys, use a small flat head screw driver to gently lift up the key from the backside until you can get a fingernail under it and lift till it pops off. Carefully examine how the scissor plastic key retainer is positioned . Look at the bottom of the key to see how it snaps into it. Lift the sides of the retainer on both right and left side to observe how it works. Take the retainer out and put it back in to understand it. The major problem is getting those little bitty plastic pins into the holes. I use a plastic toothpick to lift and separate inserted from the right. You're now a mac keyboard tech, junior grade. I use iisopropyl alcohol on a Q-tip to clean. Do not use rubbing alcohol as it contains to much water.
