Transplant Tiger hdd into a slower clamshell?

History

I know that I can install at most Panther OS into a 300 MHz G3 clamshell. But will it work if I transplant my hard drive already with Tiger OS from my 366 MHz clamshell into my 300 MHz clamshell?

It may work, but you may find it to be frustratingly slow. Even on 366MHZ and 466MHZ clamshells with Tiger, there is often an issue with the cursor becoming jittery and unresponsive at times. Panther is a leaner OS that runs faster on these machines, although, granted, it's older and has compatibility issues with a lot of modern software.

Yes its becoming increasingly difficult to find a suitable browser for 10.3. +

It will probably work just fine. I would have, at minimum 256 MEGs of RAM, preferably 512.

I agree--increase ram. +
