do you need to apply thermal grease to cpu chips?

Do you need to apply new thermo greese to cpu chips and heat sink rails when replacing logic board? i replaced logic board and everthing works great but just worried i should have applied new thermal greese to cpu chips. thanks

Here is our Generic Thermal Paste Guide, which should help you properly apply thermal paste. Doing it right is very important to avoid overheating issue later in your computer's life cycle.

Yes, you should have applied thermal paste to the CPU. I always recommend that Posters replace the original Thermal Paste that is on the CPU being that Apple uses cheap thermal paste, and it is usually applied very poorly.
