do you need to apply thermal grease to cpu chips?

History

Do you need to apply new thermo greese to cpu chips and heat sink rails when replacing logic board? i replaced logic board and everthing works great but just worried i should have applied new thermal greese to cpu chips. thanks

Yes, you should have applied thermal paste to the CPU. I always recommend that Posters replace the original Thermal Paste that is on the CPU being that Apple uses cheap thermal paste, and it is usually applied very poorly.

many thanks, applied artic sliver as deminstrated in thermal paste guide. works so well sceems to run heaps cooler 2. thanks again
