Toothbrush won’t turn on
You can’t get your toothbrush to turn on.
Press the power button
The top button is the power button and the bottom one changes the mode. The mode button will not turn the toothbrush on so be sure that you are pressing the correct button. If your toothbrush still won’t turn on, keep reading.
Drained/Bad battery
You may just have a drained battery. Put your toothbrush on the charger and ideally the LED lights will turn on, showing that it is charging. If it will no longer charge, the battery must be replaced with a new one. Use this Battery Replacement guide.
Toothbrush making too much noise
The toothbrush makes much more noise that it did when it was new.
Loose actuator screw
Most likely the actuator screw is loose and must be tightened. Use this guide...
Toothbrush turns on but the head doesn’t move
You can hear the toothbrush making a humming sound but the brush head doesn’t move.
Broken shaft
The shaft that connects to the toothbrush head may be broken. It will need to be replaced. Use this Shaft Replacement guide.
Toothbrush is not charging
The toothbrush cannot charge.
Charger not properly plugged in
Check to see if the charger is properly plugged into an outlet, and check to see if the outlet gives any charge.
Charger may be broken
If the charger cannot charge any toothbrush, then the charger itself may be faulty. Check to see if the charger is working by placing your toothbrush on the charger. If the battery light on the toothbrush doesn't light up, charger will need to be replaced. Use this guide ...

UV Cleaner not turning on
The UV cleaner provided with the toothbrush does not turn on.
Cleaner not properly plugged in
Check to see if the charger is properly plugged into an outlet, and check to see if the outlet gives any charge.
Broken UV bulb
If the outlet works fine, the UV bulb in the cleaner may be broken. Fortunately, the bulb can be easily replaced. Use this UV Light Bulb Replacement guide.

My uv works but the toothbrush charger only makes sounds when I put the toothbrush handle on it. But the charging light never lights up and the toothbrush doesn't turn on.

My new diamond clean brush has been charging for well over 24hrs and is still flashing a green light (slowly) Is this normal? I was expecting a solid green light about six hours ago.

Mine still lights up but won't turn on and when it's on the charger the lights light up and u can hear it charging. It randomly turns on by itself but will not turn on when I try to turn it on. It just turns on and off by itself. What can b wrong with it?

I'm having the same problem I put in the charger & it keeps vibrating notifying me it needs to be charged. It randomly turn on & when I need to use it. I have to push it mutiple times in order for it to start.

My SoniCare (700 Series) must be possessed! Last couple of days it turns itself on for a few seconds after I'm finished brushing. Does this numerous times. Happens whether it is docked into charger or not. Please help.

might be that some water got inside the casing through damaged seal. Now it is causing some short-circuits. Leave it to dry and do not submerge or leave with water drops near that top seal. Helped in my case.

Minha escova estava com o mesmo problema. Consegui desmontar. Estava encharcada de água. Sequei com papel toalha. Passei isopropílico abundantemente em todo o conjunto. A seguir usei um assoprador de ar quente para garantir sua completa secagem. Coloquei na fonte para carregar e por surpresa. Aceitou a carga total da minha Philips Sonicare Hx6910, depois de longo tempo. O botão do seletor de MODO, funcionou perfeitamente. Mas, o LIGA E DESLIGA. não funciona mais.
Alguém sabe como devo fazer para substituir esse botão?

Mine stutters, vibrates for several seconds then stops for 1 or 2 seconds then vibrates again repeats until time runs out.

Mine vibrates for about 15 second and shutoff. press start again a run about 4 seconds. Never the full 30seconds (4 times). what can I do? Dave

My toothbrush is working fine, but the UV cleaner does not seem to be working at all. When it’s on, the green light flashes rapidly and won’t turn off. When I open the cleaner, the toothbrushes are not warm as they usually are after cleaning. Help!

My tooth brush when placed on the charger makes a beep sound and the green light glows indicating that it's being charged after 30 seconds it turns off and stops charging. What could be the problem

My toothbrush head starts to come off when brushing. I have to turn it backwards or on the side. But even then, sometimes it still comes unscrewed. We bought new ones, after a few months the same problem happened. Anyone else have this problem?

My toothbrush sonic, since I got it, sounds like there’s an electrical problem going on in the inside. Now (6 months later) it won’t charge. I tried calling Simanek and I tried emailing Simanek and no one ever gets back to me. I got it for my birthday from my sister and I only got to use it for six months when it has a two year warranty! This is terrible

The UV light on my base comes on for about 4 or 5 seconds and goes off.
To get it to come back on I have to unplug from the wall.
Any one have this problem. Any idea on fixing it?

M<y UV bulb does not come on. I have checked the bulb with an Ohm meter and it has a closed circuit . I tried to test the contacts on the bulb socket and could not get any readings for voltage or amps. I don’t want to get a new bulb if that is not the problem . Can the switch be faulty? How do I check?

My 7 month old toothbrush suddenly won’t charge. When you put it on the charger the “clean” and “battery” lights flash very quickly in unison. There was no prior indication of anything wrong. worked perfectly the day before this happened.

Hi anyone know why my brush keeps switching itself on and cannot turn off. It keeps going until the brush is completely out of power. Sometimes it stops but in the middle of the day or night it switches itself back on again. Really frustrating as I luv the tooth brush

My toothbrush charges fully, but when I want to use it in the morning it is completely flat again. The lights keep on blinking throughout the light. Something is causing the battery to drain. How do I stop that?

My Philip's sonicare 4700 wont charge or turn on and only had it 9 months. I dont have the receipt. I won it at my dental office in a drawing which they will vouch for. They don't have the receipt . They said they buy in bulk. Told me to contact Philips cause its has a 2 yr warranty. I hope they replace it. Pretty crappy it pooped out only after 9 months of use. It was well taken care of and cleaned weekly!

My toothbrush indicator lights come on and the lights change when I toggle through cleaning options, but won’t turn on. When the toothbrush is on the charging base it continues to beep and vibrate every couple seconds like it is issuing an error. After two cycles of lights and tones the sounds continue but the lights remain off.

Minha escova Philips Sonicare Hx6910, apresentou o mesmo problema. Muito ruídos ao carregar. Após desmontar verifiquei grande quantidade de água no seu interior. Inicialmente utilizei papel toalha para remover todo o excesso.. utilizei após, álcool isopropílico a 99%, abundantemente. Algum tempo depois completei a secagem de todo conjunto com um assoprador de ar quente. O botão Liga/desliga funcionou, por pouco tempo. Coloquei no carregador e por surpresa, passou a aceitar a carga se fazer nenhum ruído. Depois de longo período o botão de MODO passou a funcionar perfeitamente.. Mas o botão de liga/desliga, não. Estou sem poder utilizar minha escova. Alguém pode me ajudar?

My charger works but the UV light does not come on. I installed a new bulb. I checked the bulb connector for power after clicking the switch and zero power. Should I open it up and check the switch or is it worth it? The charge light on the brush handles comes on.

I figured out the problem with observation. The door has a small metal probe that engages with the other side of the body. That probe is magnetized and completes a circuit when closed. I assume this is to keep the user from turning on the light and looking directly into it. The probe in my door had broken off and was down in the body. I took the door cover off, found the probe and super glued it back in place. I believe this will work once reassembled.
