Introduction

If the UV light bulb in your Philips Sonicare FlexCare Sanitizer needs to be replaced, follow these instructions.

  1. Before initiating the process, ensure that the sanitizer is not plugged into an outlet. Swing the door open to expose the interior of the sanitizing device.

  2. Grip the sides of the plastic cover that is shielding the circuitry. Pull the cover outward to remove it from the sanitizer.

  4. Before holding the light bulb, ensure that it is not warm due to previous use. Once that is confirmed, take a hold of the light bulb by the threaded surface and rotate it while pulling it outward. Have a compatible UV bulb to replace the old one. I’ve had mines less than a year. The uv lamp makes a “whizz sound for a second and then stops. No noise. No light. Does the bulb needs to be replaced ? Is it normal for it to die in 9 mths?

I’ve had my unit for over 7 years, I was getting ready to replace it. Thanks so much, I’m not a handy person and I’m really pleased to see that I could fix this problem with your helpful advice!
