Neo3DO Troubleshooting

Glasses-free 3-D Android tablet released during the Summer of 2013.

Neo3DO does not respond to the power on button.

The Neo3DO needs to be charged with a 5 volt DC adapter to stay on. Charge the Neo3DO for at least four hours.

Make sure that the power adapter is plugged into the Neo3DO. If it is, then a red light should appear on the Neo3DO. If the light is green, then try powering on the Neo3DO. If there is no red light and the power adapter is plugged in, then the adapter is faulty. Consider replacing the power adapter.

The battery leads may become disconnected due to damage or trauma to the Neo3DO. please refer to the Neo3DO Wire Replacement guide.

Ensure that the Neo3DO is using a well-functioning manufacturer approved DC adapter. If the Neo3DO does not receive any charge, then the battery is faulty and has to be replaced.

If the power adapter is plugged in but the Neo3DO is not charging, then try charging another device with the same power adapter. If the other device charges, but not the Neo3DO, then the motherboard is faulty. Therefore, the motherboard has to be replaced.

The Neo3DO doesn’t respond to touch and the LED display is unresponsive.

The touch screen will not respond if the screen is dirty or has liquid on it. Clean the screen by wiping it with a towel or a damp cloth.

If the screen is frozen and the touch screen is not responding, try turning the Neo3DO off and waiting for thirty seconds. Then, try turning the Neo3DO on again.

The touch screen may be damaged to the point where the screen no longer responds to the users touch. In this case scenario the touch screen will have to be replaced.

The hardware in creating the touch screen of the Neo3DO is a grid of infrared LED lights and receptors above the display screen. When your finger hits the grid at a certain point, a "touch" is registered in the device. It is possible that the circuit board in charge of this function is faulty, and needs to be replaced.

The Neo3DO becomes hot after use after a certain amount of time.

If the Neo3DO is stored in an area with little ventilation, this will allow heat to build up and overheat the Neo3DO. Ensure the Neo3DO is not stored in any areas with high temperatures.

The Neo3DO may not have adequate contact between the heatsink and processor due to lack of thermal paste, the liquid that prevents devices from overheating.

The camera of the Neo3DO does not function well.

The camera lens may contain dirt, grime or liquid which needs to be removed. Using a damp cloth or towel, remove the unwanted dirt from the protective lens of the Neo3DO.

If the lens of the camera is cracked or damaged, then the camera lens must be replaced in order to use the camera feature of the Neo3DO.

The Neo3DO displays poor or no audio when in use.

To hear audio from the Neo3DO, the volume must be turned on. If the volume is off, turn it up.

If you have headphones plugged into the Neo3DO headphone jack, then it is possible to have no audio due to the headphone jack being loose. Make sure that the volume is turned up and the headphone jack is secure. If the headphone jack is correctly plugged in and there is no sound playing, then the headphone jack is unresponsive.

In the scenario where the audio sound distorted through both the speaker and headphones, then the audio driver may be corrupt or damaged. In this case, the driver will have to be completely replaced.

To test if the speakers are faulty, try plugging in a headphone jack and see if the audio still sounds distorted. If the audio does not sound distorted when using headphones then the speakers are faulty, therefore the speakers will have to be replaced.

Neo3DO will not connect to the internet.

To connect to the internet, the Wi-Fi must be turned on. To turn on, go to the “Settings” of the Neo3DO menu and then go to “Wireless connections”. Then press the on button for wifi.

First, try restarting the Neo3DO, if the Neo3DO still cannot connect to the Wi-Fi, then the issue may be due to the modem and/or router. Turn off the router and/or modem and after 30 seconds, turn it back on, and try connecting the Neo3DO again. If this does not work, then the issue may be due to the service provider.

If your router or modem is working properly for all other devices except for the Neo3DO, then it is possible for the Wifi receiver to be faulty and needs to be replaced.
