Lenovo Flex 3-1120 Troubleshooting

Released 2015. Identified by the model number 3-1120.

Battery Won't Hold Charge ¶ 

My computer shuts down whenever I unplug it from the charger.

Defective Battery ¶ 

Your battery is defective and needs to be replaced. You can find the battery repair guide HERE.

Sound Is Distorted/Speakers Aren't Making Sound ¶ 

My computer isn't making sound correctly.

Drivers Are Not Up To Date ¶ 

The drivers for your speakers may need to be updated. Driver software can be found on the Lenovo support page for this device HERE

Speakers Are Broken ¶ 

If your speakers still aren't responsive, they may need to be replaced. The replacement guide for speakers can be found HERE

Computer Is Running Out Of Space ¶ 

I am running out of storage space on my computer.

Back Up Your Hard Drive ¶ 

Hard drive space can be recovered by backing up your files to an external hard drive. Transfer any files that you aren't currently using, and you will regain space.

Hard Drive Needs To Be Replaced ¶ 

Otherwise, you could simply replace your current hard drive with a new one. The guide for replacing hard drives for this device can be found HERE.

Note: A new hard drive will require an operating system.

Computer Will Not Connect To Wireless Networks ¶ 

"I can't connect to wi-fi."

Drivers Are Not Up To Date ¶ 

Your device may not have updated drivers which are required to use the network card. All of the driver software for this device is available on Lenovo's website, HERE

Network Card Needs To Be Replaced ¶ 

It is possible that the network card on your device is broken, and needs to be replaced. The guide for replacing the network card on a Lenovo Flex 3-1120 can be found HERE.

Computer Is Getting Too Hot ¶ 

I can feel my computer overheating.

Replace Thermal Paste on Heat Sink ¶ 

Your device's heat sink is used to draw heat from the processor. Over enough time, the paste may begin to degrade. If your computer is holding too much heat, then you may need to replace the thermal paste. To access the heat sink, you can refer to the repair guide found HERE.

I just purchased a new lenovo laptop flex 3 I'm trying to use it so as soon as I turn it on it keeps saying . This computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected error. Windows installation cannot proceed. To install windows click OK to restart the computer and then restart the installation .I've followed the instructions but nothing happens can u help
