Brother PT-110 Troubleshooting

Label Maker Not Printing ¶

The print paper is not coming out of the back of the device.

Empty Tape Cassette ¶

If you notice no paper coming out, the cartridge/cassette might be out of paper or damaged. If so, you can look at either the product manual or our guide to replace it.

Plastic Print Roller Lever Piece Broken ¶

Turn your device around, and open the tape cover. Next, push down on the plastic lever directly below the tape cartridge. If the black cylindrical piece on the right does not move, then the connection between the lever and the roller might be disconnected.

Refer to this guide to retrieve and replace the piece.

Unresponsive Motor ¶

If checking and replacing the cartridge and/or the print roller did not fix your problem, it may be a faulty motor. Listen carefully after pressing the print button, if you hear nothing, the problem is most likely with the motor. Refer to this guide to replace it.

Paper Not Being Cut ¶

The cutter is not cutting the paper.

Dull/Missing Cutter ¶

If the scissors are not cutting the paper, go to the product manual or refer to our guide to replace them.

Nothing happens when the keys are pressed.

Missing Keypad Contacts ¶

When some/all buttons on the keypad don't respond or require too much force, you should replace the keypad. Refer to this guide on how to do so.
