Causes
Wireless signals or other nearby electronics can cause audio distortion.
- Move away from Wi-Fi routers, microwaves, or other Bluetooth devices
- Ensure you are at least within 30 feet of the audio source
- Too many Bluetooth connections to the same device could cause audio issues
- If all else fails, try to reinstall Bluetooth drivers.
Outdated firmware could cause audio problems.
- Make sure that your device—both the mobile device and the headphones — is up to date on all software updates using the Bose Connect App.
- Check the settings of your primary music app, as issues may arise from updates or outdated versions. Ensure the app is up to date to prevent potential problems.
- Go to the Bose website, navigate to the support page, and select your device. Check the latest available driver version listed there and compare it to the version currently installed on your device.
