Phone Will Not Turn On ¶
The phone will not turn on when you press the power button.
Bad battery ¶
If the phone is not turning on, it might be because the battery is damaged. Try turning your phone on while charging the battery. If this does not work, the battery will have to be replaced.
Power button is damaged ¶
If the phone is not turning on, try rebooting your phone by pressing the power button and the volume at the same time. If the phone is not responding to this, it might be that the power button is damaged and has to be replaced.
The Display is Not Functioning ¶
If the phone is not responding to any of the solutions above, it might also be the case that the display is not working. If the sounds for the phone were on prior to the phone not turning on, then try calling the device. If the phone rings, then the screen is malfunctioning. In this case, the display/screen on the phone will have to be replaced.
Malfunctioning Motherboard ¶
If the solutions above are unsuccessful, then you have a defective motherboard. Click here to see our guide on how to replace the motherboard.
Broken Screen Replacement ¶
The screen for the phone is broken/cracked.
Front Glass Panel is Shattered ¶
First, take a deep breath and check if your phone is still functional. Unfortunately, the PS LCD capacitive touchscreen is fused together so you will have to replace the entire screen as one piece. These parts can be found at bluphoneparts.
Slow or Unresponsive Screen ¶
It is possible that the chip inside the phone, called the motherboard, could be acting strangely causing the LCD screen to lag. You should first perform a hard reset on the phone and then check if the phone is working properly. This option WILL delete all your data, so make sure the data on your device is backed up.
When the phone is powered off, press and hold the Volume Up and the Volume Down keys at the same time, then press and hold the Power key for 20 seconds until a test screen that shows some available options pops up.
Press the Volume Down key to scroll through the options until it highlights "Factory Reset" then press the Power key to select it.

Blurry Picture Quality ¶
Pictures come out blurry and out of focus.
Dirty Camera Lens ¶
Clean off the camera lens with a cloth.
There's Fog in the Camera Lens ¶
If the phone was in a humid environment, then it could have caused the inside of the camera lens to fog up. Place the phone in a bowl of rice for a day to dry the lens out.
Camera Module is Not Working ¶
If the steps above do not work, the camera module is malfunctioning and will need to be replaced.
Distorted or No Audio ¶
The sound quality is fuzzy or you can’t hear anything at all.
Loose Connection ¶
The wiring to the speaker is either not connected or loosely connected.
Broken Speaker ¶
The speaker itself may be damaged and require replacement.
Defective Motherboard ¶
If none of the above solutions work, then the problem most likely lies in the motherboard. Follow this guide to determine how to repair the motherboard.
Will Not Connect To Wi-Fi ¶
The phone will not connect to Wi-Fi.
Before trying to troubleshoot your BLU Energy X Plus problems, try resetting the phone by turning it off and back on.
If restarting your phone does not work, verify that the Wi-Fi you are trying to connect to is working.
Defective Motherboard ¶
If restarting your phone does not work, and you have checked to make sure the Wi-Fi you are trying to connect to is functioning, the component in the phone that deals with connectivity is the motherboard and it will need to be replaced.
