APEX AP-GS918 Troubleshooting

My tablet won't turn on ¶ 

When the power button is pressed on the tablet the device does not respond and turn on.

The tablet is not charged ¶ 

Plug your tablet into a power source to charge it.

Your tablet needs to be reset ¶ 

Find the small reset button on located on the back of your tablet. It is labeled "reset," with white letters. It is a small button that requires using either a paperclip or safety pin to press the button inside the hole. Afterwards, press the power button to see if your tablet turns on.

Power button is broken ¶ 

You will need to replace the power button. View our guide on replacing the power button.

My tablet won't charge ¶ 

When the charger is plugged into the tablet the tablet does not charge.

Obstructed pathway ¶ 

Make sure that the pathway for the charger and the charging port is not obstructed. If it is, remove any obstructions (EX: sand, staples, food, etc...).

Faulty charger ¶ 

The charger you have may no longer work, check to make sure it is completely plugged in, and that there are no connection issues. If these do not apply, you will need to replace it with a new charger.

My tablet won't produce sound ¶ 

When the tablet should be playing music or producing a sound effect, no noise comes from the tablet's speaker.

Obstructed pathway ¶ 

Make sure no objects are in the way of the speaker on the tablet. If any objects are remove them.

The volume is turned off ¶ 

Press the raise volume button to desired level of sound. The raise volume button has a + symbol on the left-hand side of the tablet.

Volume buttons unresponsive ¶ 

Make sure there is no obstruction to the volume buttons. If this is not the issue, you may need to replace your volume buttons. View our guide on replacing the volume buttons.

Broken speaker ¶ 

If all other solutions do not solve your issue, your speaker may be broken. View our guide on replacing the speaker here.

Touchscreen is unresponsive ¶ 

When touching the screen, the tablet does not respond to any commands

Your tablet needs to be reset ¶

Screen is broken ¶
