Does your Dyson v6 Absolute vacuum cleaner lose suction during use? Dyson v6 Absolute vacuums are susceptible to a range of problems that can cause them to lose suction. Check the following possible causes to identify and solve the problem.



If the vacuum cleaner’s airways become blocked, the device may automatically shut off to prevent damage. Check for blockages by disassembling the wand from the roller head and the bin. Check inside and around each component. Be careful of sharp objects and debris. Remove any obstructions and try to use the vacuum again, as normal.


If the vacuum’s filter is full of debris, the vacuum may lose suction, causing the device to turn off automatically. Remove the filter by pulling out the purple knob labeled "filter" located at the top of the bin. Rinse the filter by running it underwater for 2 minutes. When done, gently shake the filter to remove any debris. Gently wring out the filter to remove excess water. Allow 24 hours for the filter to dry. After a minimum of 24 hours, replace the filter back into the bin and continue with normal use.

There may be debris preventing the roller head from operating normally. Disconnect the roller head from the wand. If you are unable to remove debris, you may have to remove the brush bar. Unlock the brush bar by using a coin to turn the dial marked with a padlock into the unlock position. Carefully remove the brush bar and remove the debris. After cleaning, refit the brush bar. Secure it by using a coin to tighten the dial marked with a padlock so that it is once again in the lock position.
