Dishwasher Melting or Warping Plastic Items

Some plastic items cannot be exposed to temperature usually found in dishwashers without changing shape.

Once the plastic item has distorted, it cannot be returned to its original shape. To minimize or prevent plastic items from warping or melting:

• Choose the air-dry cycle to dry the dishes.
• Place plastic items on the top rack.
• Purchase and use plastic items that are labeled “dishwasher-proof.”
