Bose speakers typically remember the last several devices that were connected to the speaker in order to automatically pair. If you clear the remembered devices and reconnect your device to it we can then eliminate that bluetooth connection is not the cause for any audio distortion.

To clear remembered devices you power on your product and hold down the bluetooth button for 10 seconds until you hear a tone. This will mean your speaker has forgotten those devices and you can repair your device to ensure you are the only one connected.

The Bluetooth range for Bose speakers is about 33 feet. Walls, doors, and other nearby bluetooth devices can interfere with the connection. Move the speaker closer to the connected device.

You can go to the Bose Software Update Center to ensure that your speaker has the newest software. If the speaker is up to date the next step would be to reset the speaker and device it is connected to.

You may need to reset the product if the software is already up to date. To do this:

  • Turn the speaker on by pressing the power button.
  • Press the power button down for about 10 seconds. Wait until you see a blinking blue light and then a voice prompting you to select a language for the speaker.
  • Lastly, set up the speaker.
