My Problem
I had ordered a new battery for my wife's 4 yeqr old iPhone 4 as it wouldn't charge. While waiting for the battery to arrive upon closer examination one of the pins of the dock connector was burnt. So ordered one of those. Got to commend iFixit and the USPS . . both part arrived two days after I ordered . . all the way across the US.
My Fix
The repair/replacement went as advertised. No problems. The iFixit tools are a welcome addition to my tool kit. I used a piece of tape sticky side up to hold the teeny screws and pieces removed from the phone. (I was thankful I had a clip-on 5X jewelers loupe)
My Advice
After completion of the repair I held my breath as I powered on the phone. It worked. It's now back in service. I kept the old battery after recharging it - might need a spare someday or meet someone who has a iPhone 4 that needs one.
