My Problem
Had a cracked screen and white background.
My Fix
Repairs went good considering I was reading instructions for battery replacement at first so I removed more than I needed too and eventually back tracked to the point I needed to be for display replacement. Unit worked find but power button not working. I didn't do anything to the harness connected to power switch. Could not turn unit off. Display disconnected on its own while itunes was update firmware and then eventually PC couldn't connect to Itouch. Unit doesn't respond so I'm not sure if display got trashed when I connect connect back or the firmware is trashed. Power button not working and got no display.
My Advice
Instructions have to be more detailed.
