My Problem
Failed hard drive. Ifixit made it look easy and I figured compared the the price of a new computer, the $120 hard drive and a little time was well worth it.
My Fix
First of all I had never even seen the inside of a computer. I didn't even know what a hard drive looked like. Once I figured out mine had failed I asked one of the computer geeks where I work what he would charge to fix it or if it was worth fixing. He said I should check out ifixit.com. I took his advice and it couldn't have been easier. The detailed instructions and pics were spot on. The formatting was definitely the longest part (took over 2hours). A big thank you to ifixit. I will definitely recommend to others.
My Advice
Honestly, the instructions and pics are so detailed and written in the precise order needed that I can't thing of a single thing that would have made it easier. If I could follow them anyone should be able to.
