My Fix

Perfect! My version of the MBP was a little different than the model shown in the instruction manual. I expected this and the repair was otherwise flawless. The materials that arrived from ifixit were well packaged and since it arrived on Valentines Day included a small package of candies. Those little touches that make you smile. Could not have had a better experience.

My Advice

I strongly suggest that anyone who takes on a project like this have the correct screw bits. Apple laptops have an absurd mix of different screw heads and the type and size are not normally found in a mechanics tool box. I purchased a 54 piece bit kit from ifixit and it was a quality item and work perfect.
