Experience from Greenland - near the North Pole!

My Problem

I have a Macook Pro Mid 2010 with 250 GB HDD hard disk and 4 GB RAM.

It ran poor and very slow. Startup took almost 2 minutes and the battery only last 3-4 hours. So I ordered 8 GB RAM and a new battery through iFixit, USA. (Recommended by my son)

Same day I ordered from iFixIt, USA I ordered a new Samsung 840 EVO SSD - 1TB (586 USD!) in Denmark.

My iFixit-order was delivered to me via FedEx only in 7 days! That's real quick in this part of the world!

3 days after I could pick up my new SSD at the post office.

My Mac with new 8 GB RAM and 1 TB SSD is now running with high speed (30 second startup!) and fast processing with almost 8 hour battery time!

My Fix

I used the installation guides for RAM, SSD and battery at iFixit. It took me 6-7 minutes to replace all parts!

Very useful guides with pictures and clips!

Keep up the good work iFixit - I surely will recommend you!

My Advice

Inside the Mac there's many different screw types! I recommend to buy proper tools!
