My Problem

The early 2011 PowerMac came with 5,400 RPM and 1 GB. I changed to my 7,400 RPM disk. But due to making YouTube in iMovie it takes too long. Maverick is consuming your memory and I use iBoostIt to free up memory. The new Solid State Drive is about 4 times faster overall as the limitation is now the internal bus. It is like a new PC. Very nice.

My Fix

Easy. As I only have USB 2 I spent 6.5 hours making the image copy. Booting again in 10 second's down from about 40 second's.

My Advice

Support FireWire. Excellent support - again.
