My Problem

Cats destroyed mom's iPhone charging cable, so she was no longer able to charge her devices at home. Asked me to buy her a new cable, but it's no fun - I decided to rather have it repaired, since I had quite a few spare lightning connectors.

My Fix

Without a microscope this repair is only doable with a good flux and during a daylight, because despite wires and connectors are not being literally microscopic - it's quite difficult so solder and see if everything is done right.

My Advice

Again - good flux, good solder and soldering iron is key. Also I suggest starting with Data+ and Data- wires in the middle and then soldering V and G on the sides.
