Very straight-forward repair

Moderate

My Problem

Subwoofer was blown-out.

My Fix

Repair was very easy to follow. It required taking out the optical drive (which was little tricky to reconnect after replacing the right speaker and subwoofer), but otherwise was all about just popping screws in and out. Thankful that I was able to repair this myself as my sound is back to sounding regular, even on full blast.

My Advice

Don't forget to tuck the new speaker/subwoofer cord back underneath the subwoofer and optical drive before putting everything back in. It could work without it, but it is definitely cleaner to tuck it back under.
