My Problem
This device was so slow that it was inappropriate to use even as a time machine server. After I replaced the 5400 RPM HDD with an SSD there was a noticeable improvement.
My Fix
The repair went smoothly after I reviewed the guide several times.
My Advice
Place a piece of tape on the bottom of the case situated to help orient yourself when reinserting components.
