The Growing Power Problem

My Problem

As you can see from the photo, my old battery decided to hit puberty and started growing. To my surprise, the existing home we provided for that battery was too small. As a result, it decided to grow through the trackpad as quickly as possible.

My Fix

This was a super easy repair, albeit slightly scary because I was waiting for the battery to spontaneously combust. Simple removal of screws, one plug, then repeat in reverse order.

My Advice

None. If you are scared about doing a repair like this, don't worry. It is super easy and quick to do.

Hi Scott - Mine has grown through the trackpad as well. Did you end up replacing the trackpad or just the battery?
