My Problem

My 2015 MacBook Pro was my go to, everyday use computing solution until it fell off of the TV stand to the ground. I picked it up, opened the lid, only to find that the bottom half of my beautiful Retina Display was black and not working. It was going to cost me over $1000 to get it repaired at Apple since my care plan had expired.

My Fix

The replacement iFixit retina display was delivered as expected. It was packaged, wrapped, and protected very well. I followed the directions that I used to remove my original display in reverse. I didn't have any issues at all except getting the three very small AirPort antenna cable connector wires back into position. That took me the longest. Other than that it was majestic when I powered up the laptop and the full screen displayed without any issues.

My Advice

Ensure that you have the proper equipment to work with or the replacement will be a nightmare. I'd love to see the pictures and directions put in to replace the display instead of telling the user to just do things in reverse.
