Power button replacement

Mark Graveson -

My Problem

I thought the power button was dodgy (sort of), but turns out I'd soft bricked flashing a new ROM.

This part has essentially some sticky tape holding down some of the part in place. Over a few years and our hot environment, the adhesive holding the contact onto the cable failed.

My Fix

Excellent. Very simple.

My Advice

Check that you haven't soft bricked before buying spare parts! x-D

Also check that when poking about you don't try to pull things apart without checking guides first. In hunting about, I wrecked the touch screen digitizer, so now that's the next part I need to get. (but I am able to run this table in "notebook" mode on stock ROM).
