Trackpad wouldn't click

My Problem

The trackpad wouldn't click because the battery had gone bad and expanded, pushing up hard against the underside of the trackpad.

My Fix

Removing the back of the Mac and it flew off, due to the pressure caused by the expanded battery. Replacement was easy.

My Advice

I would never have thought that the trackpad not working was caused by a bad battery, until someone at work suggested it.
