My Problem

The battery was old; 70% health according to AccuBattery but more importantly, it was dying at 50% when games or the camera were loaded. Needed to replace that dead battery.

My Fix

No broken parts (rear glass was fine). At some points, I was not sure if I was going to be able to complete a step, but eventually everything came apart and went back together smoothly. Initial tests indicate that a SOT of 6 hours now and it no longer dies until <1%.

My Advice

Let the iOpener sit on the back panels for 3-5 minutes at least. If the panels aren't moving, you need to melt the glue more. Be patient separating the front and rear enclosures.

Use a hairdryer - it works better than the microwave thing that these guys sell.
