My Problem

My left shoulder button had become non-functional. I had watched a lot of Linus Tech tips and he had described how good the iFixit tools were many times. I mainly bought the 64-bit driver for computer repairs, but I had remembered I had my old WaveBird that I couldn't use anymore because of the broken shoulder button. So I decided to look up a guide on the website and low and behold there it was.

My Fix

After reviewing the guide and making sure I had all the correct tools, I went about the task. The 64-Bit Driver Kit had everything I needed and with the step-by-step guide, everything went a lot smoother than I had expected. I had discovered that something sticky had gotten and had caused the button to stay stuck down after a bit of cleaning and putting it back together it was working perfectly again. Now I'm back up and gaming on my GameCube!

My Advice

Sometimes it can be horrible when something breaks and sometimes there's nothing you can do about it unless you want to pay someone else a lot of money to fix it. But with a site like this and the proper tools, you can save yourself a lot of time and money.
