My Problem
My sister had dropped her phone from a large height and the screen was completely destroyed. The glass was cracked badly, and even worse, part of the LCD was dead as well. Only about 75% of the screen displayed properly, and she was ready to buy a new phone for $600, that's when I told her it could be fixed for half that price.
My Fix
The repair went well, I was able to complete it with the iFixit Pro Tech Toolkit, and I was able to finish the repair fine. Removing the small Phillips head screws on the inside of the device was the only place that I found challenging because I kept dropping them into hard to reach places. The tweezers in my kit helped with this though. I was able to re-assemble the phone after replacing the front assembly with little issues, and the phone was back to how it was before it was dropped.
My Advice
Be careful opening the phone, I almost damaged the home button's ribbon cable by being too aggressive.
