15 minutes

Very easy

My Problem

I have Macbook Unibody A1286 early 2011 model. Response becomes slow (rainbow circle appear frequently). So I decided replace 500GB HDD 7500RPM into 1TB SSD.

My Fix

Hardship is screw. Two of them won't screw out. Eventually I got it. After open the bottom cell, replacement is quite easy. Just plug out battery connector and screw out yoke for HDD then plug out HDD connector, plug in SSD, the later is do backward replacement.

My Advice

SSD has no fix legs. So u should put shock absorber (black sponge) to fix SSD in the body.
