The fan was getting noisy but still working. I knew its days were numbered
My Fix
super easy. While i was in there I decided to upgrade the HD to an SSD also. With the tutorials on Ifixit it was all super easy.
My Advice
Don't be afraid to try repairs on your MacBook Pro. It's much easier than you think with the tutorials.
