Ipod Video 30gb logic board replacement

My Problem

There was NO audio coming from the headphone jack. I initially believed the headphone jack would be to blame, but by applying pressure in the bottom right corner of the ipod music would start to come out the headphones. The logicboard was apparently to blame after some online investigation.

My Fix

Took nearly an hour and a half, and that was working considerably steadfast. The tools supplied worked very well for the disassembly. The new Logicboard fit perfectly and the ipod fit back together properly.

My Advice

Take your time!! Although this is a relatively simple repair it does require a lot of patience. Make sure to be extra cautious when handling the ground tape for the logicboard and the click wheel, as it is incredibly fragile.
