My Problem
Device was given to me by a friend who couldn't get it to charge any more after his kids dropped it while plugged in. The micro USB port was loose from the motherboard.
My Fix
Repair went really well. No major issues in the process. I would say that you need to remove the speaker section at the top of the tablet so that you can access the data cables better.
My Advice
Remove the speaker component as step 2, also peel back the anti-static tape to reveal the data cable connectors.
