Finally got the iPhone battery replace with one that works!

My Problem

I inherited my iPhone from my son when he upgraded to an iPhone 6. It was working fine until a couple of months ago when it began needed a recharge several times a day. I ordered a replacement kit and battery online from Amazon. The directions were OK, and I followed the video online. The battery worked fine -- for five days. After that, it would only get to 26% and stopped charging. I finally decided to order a new battery from IFIXIT. The order arrived promptly, the directions were clear and I had successfully installed the new battery in about 10 minutes. Since then, my phone works great and the battery has held its charge for at least two days! Love it!

My Fix

Smooth as it could be! Of course, I'd worked hard trying to figure out what to do with the first (defective) battery replacement, so I had some "practice.

My Advice

Don't replace your old phone just because it won't stay charged! Use the IFIXIT kit and renew your phone's life!
