My Problem
I bought the entry level 2014 Mac Mini from the Apple refurbs because of the price. As we all know, a good price is not a good price if you don't use the item. Well, the entry level 2014 Mac Mini wasn't getting much use. With only 4 GB of memory, 1.4GHz processor and a spinning disk it was very disappointing from a performance perspective. The one thing I had power to change was the spinning disk. The Mac Mini Logic Bard Removal Tool, All-New Pro Tech Toolkit and the iFixit website were all I needed. 30 minutes later I had a 500GB SSD installed and the reinstallation of OSX was underway. I couldn't be happier. Thanks iFixit.
My Fix
The repair went great. Using the iFixit website there were no surprises.
My Advice
Stay organized. The built in parts tray in the All-New Pro Tech Toolkit was great. During reassembly, I knew exactly which screws to use next because I had laid them out in order as they were removed.
