My Problem
Nexus was frozen with the little droid on his (?) back. Nothing I did worked to revive him; not rebooting, not tapping, not flexing the case, nothing.
My Fix
I guessed that the motherboard might be somehow damaged, although I did not drop or otherwise abuse it. So I ordered one from iFixit. It arrived without any delay.
My Advice
Yes. The instructions from iFixit were perfect, except for the very last step. I didn't realize, or didn't see the instruction, that the camera was also attached to the motherboard by a zif cable. Took me a while, but I detached it. Reinstalling the new motherboard was easy, and the machine booted up without a problem. Many thanks!
