My Problem
This iMac was a sad little unit that needed some SSD love.
My Fix
The repair went perfectly and the directions were straightforward. Plenty of detail for the uninitiated.
My Advice
Geez, how I hate tape. The tape on this particular unit seemed to have gotten gooey over time. It took quite a bit of work to get it off of both sides. Don't get overzealous when removing the tape from the back of the glass or you will take the glass backing tape off as well. Also be aware of the angle of the glass when putting it back together. Less is more. I ended up 1/16" high on the top, not flush, as the tape stuck when placing the glass back on the lower shelf. Otherwise this one is an easy job.
