Doom and gloom fixed

My Problem

My daughter was told her MacBook Pro HD crashed, and was sold a new HD. She was then told her mother board was fried, and was sold a new MacBook.

My Fix

A little debugging and research, decided to order a replacement SATA HD cable (and tool kit) from IFixit. I actually ordered the wrong cable on the first go around and iFixit took total care of me! New cable solve the problem and the MacBook Pro is fully functional.

My Advice

Do the research, and fix it yourself. Don't be sold a bill of goods.
