3rd live for MacBookPro
1 - 2 minutes
Battery on Macbook late 2008 started to swell, risking eventually in blocking my mouse pad. Time for a new battery, but Apple stopped supporting this senior notebook of mine. Enter the search, enter iFixit.
Friendly Apple store collaborator in Mechelen, Belgium pointed me to iFxit. Clicking in iFixit brought me automatically to the necessary replacement battery. Order, and quick delivery during end of year holidays. Tutorial instructions where clear as !&&*, click open, replace, close and done! All in 3 minutes.
Strange that European branch of iFixit didn't have battery in stock, where overseas it happened to be hopping impatiently to come to Belgium? Disadvantage of decentralized warehousing processes? A raw battle between the overseas dept and European branch? A question a web-user could ask, since both dept's are a mouse-click away.
Stacked iFixit in my favourites, and this experience lowered the fear of fumbling around with my notebook myself. Hope to enjoy my 2008 MacBook still for a very long time.
