My Problem
Macbook would not run unless plugged in to the wall.
My Fix
Start to finish the repair took about 15 minutes. Turned a dust collector into an excellent first computer for my 9 year old son.
My Advice
The battery is held in place with trilobe screws. I overlooked this in my initial research. I was able to get them out and back in with a small flat head screwdriver from an eyeglasses repair kit.
