Motherboard was shorted out
My Fix
Repair went well thanks to IFIXIT. Amazon and Kindle were a lost cause. Tried to sell me a $199 over the internet repair and it didn't work. Took Kindle to REPAIRMYPC to get problem solved. NEVER BUY ANOTHER KINDLE@!
My Advice
DON'T BUY A KINDLE AND EXPECT HELP FROM AMAZON OR KINDLE IF IT NEEDS REPAIRS, THEIR SOLUTION IS TO SELL YOU AN INTERNET FIX FOR $199 OR A DISCOUNTED NEW FOR $400.
