My Problem
I shattered the screen on my iPad 2. In the removal of the front panel I tore the wifi antenna. I ordered the antenna and follower the guide to complete the repair.
My Fix
The guide is good, leaving little to the imagination. I had trouble with getting the SIM card out at the start of the process. I was using a paper clip, not the tool. Later in the process I was able to remove the card by removing the clip that keeps the card in place. It is held by a single screw just above the SIM card bracket.
My Advice
Be very careful with the digitizer removal. I thought I was, but I still tore the wifi antenna. To save time consider getting a front panel and an antenna at the same time. It will save you a week. If you can't get the SIM card out at the start of the sequence you can still do it later.
