My Problem
The screen started to cause finger bleeds after the 3rd time the iPad was dropped, so it was time to either fix it or get a new screen.
My Fix
After taking great care to follow directions and be very careful with the glass removal, initially came up with a black screen. After connecting a charger, got the tone that I never heard before. Discovered that it just needed a charge and it booted up fine. Perfect fix!
My Advice
The directions should include a step to make sure there is enough charge in the unit to boot up after the replacement is completed -- or at least a note that if the screen is blank to try charging.
