My Problem
The battery no longer held a charge. The battery had swelled to the point that it did not allow me to use the click wheel properly.
My Fix
The most difficult part of the repair was opening the case of the iPod. I found it easier to start from the side and work around to the corners.
My Advice
I will do this again.
