My Problem
My iPad 4 screen was punctured with cracks propagating from this puncture. My thumb applied a typical "thumb force" to the screen and went straight through it.
My Fix
At first, I was confused on how the heck the plastic bevel tool was going to pry off the screen. It absolutely did not do that, so I moved to a box cutter. That worked well... I guess. I took the advice to tape my screen to prevent shards of glass flying everywhere, but I kept having to move the tape. I managed to obtain a few minor cuts that bled profusely (probably due to the amount of coffee I drank that day). In the end, I successfully removed the old screen and installed the new one. The new screen won't stay in place. I'm going to buy some better adhesive at some point.
My Advice
Use a box cutter or other sharp, thin tool for screen removal, but BE CAREFUL.
Use better adhesive than what is provided in the installation kit.
