My Problem
MacBook 2009 late model Unibody. Computer would shut down when not attached to power cord. Replaced battery and so far it has solved the problem.
My Fix
Easy as long as you have the tri - wing screw driver and correct phillips head screwdriver.
My Advice
Do not over tighten the screws. The first time I put the battery in and discovered that the track pad no longer worked. I undid everything and did not tighten the screws as much and the track pad worked. I found that after I installed the battery if I gently placed the back cover on with out attaching it with screws I could check to make sure that the trackpad worked and then I screwed the 8 screws in to really complete the repair.
