My Problem
My MacBook Air Battery started losing charge and the warning on the battery monitor said to replace the battery. I considered taking it to the apple store and go through all the inconvenience. I looked up iFixit web site and found that they had detailed instructions on the replacement and a genuine replacement battery.
I ordered the battery and tools to open the MBA. The order arrived at the promised date.
My Fix
The whole replacement took less than half an hour. Very simple, hassle free process.
My Advice
The tools ordered worked for the battery replacement. But, it did not help with opening the bottom cover. Luckily I had another set of tools for the bottom cover screws. Perhaps Apple changed the screws (I have a later model 2011 MBA). Please check to make sure you have the right tools.
