Seemingly minor issue becomes a huge cluster #&@$...

My Problem

General lagging and overall performance issues. After running TechTool Pro found that the memory and HDD in my 2010 iMac were failing.

My Fix

Replaced the memory (piece of cake). Purchased suction cups and after removing the glass panel I found the HDD replacement quite simple.

My Advice

Not really, just make sure you know which format OS X requires or you could spend some time dialing it in.
